Sliding Window Lock With 2-1/4" Screw Holes and 1/2" Latch Projection

This Window Sash Lock has 1/2 inch (12.7 millimeter) latch projection (tongue) which projects from the edge of the housing. The lock does not use separate keeper as the latch engages the fixed rail to lock the window. This is a popular lock with many window manufacturers and can be used on both horizontal and vertical sliding windows.
